Please Note: The Town of Conway recently voted to designate the parking lot for the lake to be used by "Conway Residents Only". All vehicles parked in the lot must display a "resident sticker" issued by the town. The boat ramp is still open to the public and public parking is limited to spaces along Mill Street.
Conway Lake is a 1,316-acre lake located on Mill Street in Center Conway NH. The lake is part of the Saco River watershed area and contains both warm and cold-water species of fish. Conway Lake is 4 miles in length, about 1.4 miles in width with a maximum depth of 45 feet and an average depth of 20 feet.
Conway Lake was once known as Walker's Pond. The lake offers about 19 miles of shoreline to explore, all of which is privately owned, there are fewer homes along the southern end of the lake, which will give you a change to take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Because the land is privately owned, please respect the landowners and stay off any land that is posted and as always, "Leave No Trace". There are spectacular views of the Presidential Range and Mt. Washington to the north from the center of the lake. Loons can often be seen on the lake, but please keep your distance and use binoculars to view them. Parking at the lake is limited, so it is best to plan to arrive at the boat ramp early during the summer months, Parking for the boat launch is across street, at the entrance to Walkers Pond Park.
