Somerset reservoir is located on the east branch of Deerfield River in the towns of Somerset and Stratton Vermont. The lake is approximately 5 miles long, covers 1568 acres and is one of the few large lakes found within the state. The area surrounding the lake is undeveloped. With views of Mount Snow and Haystack Mountain to the south and Stratton Mountain to the north make this an excellent lake to spend the day on to enjoy some of Vermont's natural beauty.
Located just 9 miles north of the town of Searsburg, it is easily accessible from route 9. Heading west on route 9, the road to the reservoir is located on the right at the intersections of route 9 and route 8. The boat ramp is located at the southern end of the reservoir, just east of the hydroelectric dam.
